Oversized tees are one of those things.

They either look effortlessly cool…
or like you fully gave up before leaving the house 😅

There’s no in between.

So if you’ve ever thrown one on and thought
“why does this look good on everyone else but not me?” “why do I resemble Adam Sandler’s long lost child?”

This is for you.

First… why oversized tees just make sense

Before we even get into outfits…

Oversized tees are elite because:

they’re comfy
they work for real life
they don’t restrict you
you can wear them literally anywhere
because we are far too traumatised from those tight dresses with the fabric belt we wore in our teens

Beach, school run, coffee, couch… same tee. They are so baggy you can’t see those food stains

But the trick is how you style them.

Outfit 1: The effortless beach throw on

This is the easiest one.

Oversized tee, go up two sizes if the tee is a standard fit.
Bikini underneath
Bare feet, salty hair

Done.

It’s giving:
“I didn’t try but somehow this still works”

Perfect for:

beach days
post swim
walking to grab food

This is exactly how they’re meant to be worn
Not over styled… just lived in

Outfit 2: The tee + flares or lace pants combo (underrated but elite)

If you want to look a bit more put together without trying harder…

Oversized tee + flares or lace pants = magic

It balances out:

loose on top
shape or texture on the bottom

And suddenly it looks intentional.

Perfect for: coffee runs, school pickup, “I need to leave the house but don’t want to think” days

Outfit 3: The half tuck “I tried a little bit” fit

This one changes everything.

Same oversized tee… but:
slight tuck at the front or side or back

That’s it.

It adds just enough shape without ruining the relaxed vibe.

Wear with:

  • bike shorts - super cute with trainers (make sure you have crew socks)
denim shorts or jeans - any shoe is a vibe
    flares or lace
skirts - think cute patterns or silky vibes
    anything comfy

Minimal effort… big difference.

Hot tip: if you don’t know where to tuck ask yourself… do I want to show off my butt or hide it? Tucking it in the back shows off the booty while covering up your tummy. I like to do a side tuck with my phone, like I’m wearing bike shorts with no pockets and tucked my phone into my shorts and it looks like I forgot to pull my shirt out.

Outfit 4: The matching but not matching look

If you’ve got kids or a bestie…

This is where oversized tees shine.

You don’t need identical outfits.

Just:

same print
same colour vibe
different fits

You in an oversized tee, them in a mini version but you are wearing different shorts.

It looks put together without screaming
“we planned this for hours”

Outfit 5: The “I live in this now” everyday fit

Let’s be honest…

Once you find a good oversized tee, you don’t rotate it… you live in it 😅

Throw it on with:

bike shorts
comfy pants
whatever’s closest

And it still works.

That’s the whole point. Life becomes sweet when you get to the no care stage of life.

The biggest mistakes with oversized tees

Let’s save you the frustration.

❌ Going too oversized (there’s a limit) - the sleeves tend to look funny once it it almost touching your wrist
❌ Stiff fabric that doesn’t sit right - stick to cotton
❌ Trying to dress it up too much

Oversized works because it’s relaxed.

The second you force it… it loses the vibe.

What actually makes an oversized tee look good

It’s not complicated.

It’s:

the fit (loose but still flattering)
the fabric (soft, worn in feel)
how comfortable you are in it

If you feel good… it shows.

Our take on oversized tees

We design ours to be worn properly.

Not just “oversized for the trend”
But pieces you can actually move in, live in and not think about.

The kind you throw on:

after a surf
during chaos mornings
when you want to feel good without effort

That’s the standard.

Final Vibes

If you’re over complicated outfits…

Oversized tees are it.

Simple, comfy, easy to style… and still look good without trying too hard.

Exactly how it should be.

Shameless little plug (because we’d be silly not to)

Not to be that brand… but also fully being that brand for a second 😅

Oversized tees are kind of our thing.

We make the throw on, don’t think twice, wear it everywhere kind. The ones that somehow work for the beach, school runs, coffee stops and couch days without needing a full outfit change.

We’re a small family run business on the Sunshine Coast, living this salty life right alongside you. Everything is designed to actually be worn… not just look good in photos.

And we’re big on slow fashion always.
No wear it twice and forget about it energy. Just comfy, made to last pieces you’ll keep reaching for.

So if you’ve been hunting for the perfect oversized tee… you’re already in the right place.
